Named after Sir Reuben Manasseh Meyer, a Jewish businessman who continued his legacy through many of his philanthropic efforts like Manasseh Meyer Trust, Meyer Road in the 18th Century was the area where mansions abound. A sweeping look at the area of old would conjure up images of sprawling, single-storey houses, where one could hear the waves from the sea right in front, and feel the breeze caress your face.

It is no wonder then that Meyer Road is the place for the affluent to build their holiday bungalows, where they will retreat to during the weekends. Reuben Manasseh Meyer himself also owned the old Sea View Hotel at Meyer Road, originally a large colonial bungalow right at the shoreline, and surrounded by coconut trees.

Even now, when one speaks of Meyer Road, that esteemed name still carries the same prestige, and is a prime residential district, full of landed houses, and condominiums.

Inspired by Meyer Road’s history and site context, Meyer Mansion, GuocoLand’s latest project, combines understated luxury living and modern tropical architecture to create a new benchmark.

Mansions with a view

Taking references from mansions of the past, Meyer Mansion is big on space.

Generous with its offerings, about 80% of the site will be used for landscaping and providing residents with complementary facilities, from the vast garden lawns where children can frolic around while their parents look on from their picnic under the shade on a lazy Sunday afternoon; to the Beach House, a clubhouse where one can relax amidst palm trees, and bask in the tranquillity, away from the bustle of the city life.

With a paradisal experience like this, one could almost be mistaken for lounging in a luxury beach resort, and especially when the development is just a stone’s throw from East Coast Park, where the sea awaits.

A dream locale, Meyer Mansion boasts views of the greenery, the sea, as well as the landed enclave. Even from the third-storey of the new development, one is greeted with breath-taking views of nature along East Coast Park. Against this idyllic setting, residents can enjoy the best that the East has to offer within the comforts of their spacious abode.

At night, be dazzled by the glamour of the lights illuminating the city’s skyline with Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore Flyer in the vista, providing the perfect backdrop to unwind from the flurry of the day’s activities.

Understated luxury

At the end of the day, return to Meyer Mansion where comfort awaits. Featuring eight unique unit types from one-bedroom apartments to four-bedroom premium units, with only 25 exclusive units each, the 200-unit Meyer Mansion was designed with you in mind.

Created in various sizes and layouts, whether you are looking for a posh bachelor or bachelorette pad, a cosy dwelling for a young couple, or even a multi-generational family home, Meyer Mansion has the perfect layout to suit each need and lifestyle.

This is all evident in the wide range of one-bedroom units to four-bedroom premium units offered at Meyer Mansion. Buyers of the premium three-and -four bedroom units will further enjoy the exclusivity of the dedicated private lifts.

The allure, however, is far more.

Each unit type is thoughtfully planned to allow for flexibility so you can use the space however you desire. A key feature of Meyer Mansion is its good-sized balconies with enclosable screens that can be used to extend your entertainment space from your living area.

This, of course, translates into flexible and spacious layouts, all meticulously planned to allow for an expansion into larger living spaces. Graced with floor-to-ceiling picture windows, the stunning views from the units are maximised, and so is one’s enjoyment of the Eastern and Western view of the Marina Bay Sands area, or the direct sea view presented right in front of one’s eyes.

Connectivity at your doorstep

Meyer Mansion was conceived to leverage the best of both worlds: combining the laidback charm of East Coast with the ease of accessibility. Adjacent to the East Coast Parkway, the expressway will take you to where your heart desires, whether you are jet setting towards your next adventure, or spending time with loved ones in town. The most important destinations in Singapore such as Marina Bay, CBD and Changi Airport are all under a 10-minute drive.

For those who prefer to take public transport, Katong Park MRT station on the Thomson-East Coast Line, due for completion in 2023, is a six-minute walk from Meyer Mansion. In just three stops, one will arrive at Gardens by the Bay MRT station, where the impressive 101ha garden also features a 30m tall indoor waterfall. Making weekend plans have never been easier.

Being close to East Coast Park also provides one with access to the Park Connector Network. Feel the cool breeze as you navigate your way along picturesque sea views and canals that link you to the major parks in Singapore. Whether you choose to jog or cycle along the park connectors, one thing’s for sure: Meyer Mansion is ideally located for you to experience a myriad of sensory delight and adventures at your doorstep.

Come home to Meyer Mansion where the nostalgic beachfront living of yore is updated with the best amenities of the East.
