The Kapuso couple welcomes their first baby, Maria Letizia, this morning

23 Nov - Kapuso star Marian Rivera has recently given birth to her first baby, named Maria Letizia.

According to Push, the "Amaya" star and actor husband Dingdong Dantes welcome the healthy baby girl in the morning of 23 November at a hospital in Makati.

"Maria Letizia came out at 5.25am today. Thank God they are both safe and okay," wrote Dantes in a text message sent to the media.

The couple started a prayer brigade since last Saturday for the safe delivery. Dantes earlier denied rumours that his wife had given birth to their daughter on 18 November.

Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes tied the knot back in December last year. Their wedding was dubbed "The Royal Wedding", due to the couple being one of the most successful onscreen partners in various series including "MariMar", "Dyesebel", and "Endless Love".
