Mariel Rodriguez to take early break from "It's Showtime"
16 Jun - Actress Mariel Rodriguez will be taking some time off from her show, "It's Showtime", after a recent miscarriage scare.
As reported on ABS-CBN News, the actress, who rushed to the hospital recently after feeling pain in her abdomen, stated she decided to take a break from the show for her own safety and the safety of her baby, after being advised by the doctor.
As for the pain in her abdomen, Rodriguez assured that it was nothing but the baby moving around inside her womb.
"It was the baby's movements I was feeling! I was so paranoid, maybe because people kept saying don't travel [...], don't eat this, don't drink that, too much negativity," wrote Rodriguez on Facebook.
She continued, "I was so relieved to hear my baby's heartbeat again. So far, my baby is doing good, but I just have to rest this out."
As for now, Rodriguez said that she will just enjoy her pregnancy and pray for her baby's health.
This is the actress' third pregnancy with husband Robin Padilla. She previously suffered miscarriage twice.
