Max Kellerman gets new ESPN TV show 'This Just In' after leaving 'First Take'

After his split with “First Take,” Max Kellerman will return to ESPN’s daily television lineup next week.

Kellerman will begin hosting his own new show, “This Just In” starting on Monday, the network announced on Thursday.

The show will air weekday afternoons from 2-3 p.m. ET, and will “provide all the latest news, opinion and analysis on the day’s trending and under-the-radar afternoon headlines and look ahead at potential news-making moments that evening.”

“With the addition of This Just In, we’ve added yet another opportunity for live reaction in a key timeslot,” ESPN vice president Norby Williamson said in a statement. “Max is always able to successfully connect and resonate with fans in meaningful ways across platforms and it’s great to have him leading this new show.”

Kellerman left “First Take” earlier this month, leaving the show for Stephen A. Smith to run solo with Molly Qerim-Rose, and a group of guests and weekly appearances from Michael Irvin and Tim Tebow.

Kellerman joined that show in 2016, replacing Skip Bayless after his departure for Fox Sports. Kellerman also joined ESPN Radio’s morning show with Keyshawn Johnson and Jay Williams.

ESPN cancels Dan Le Batard’s ‘Highly Questionable’

Kellerman’s new show means that ESPN is officially canceling “Highly Questionable,” the television show created and made popular by former ESPN Radio host Dan Le Batard and his father, Papi.

“Highly Questionable” was launched at ESPN in 2011, and continued even after Le Batard parted with ESPN and formed Meadowlark Media.

The group who carried the show after Le Batard’s departure — which included Mina Kimes, Pablo Torre, Bomani Jones and more — will continue with a new digital only show, “Debatable,” launching next month.
