McDonald's brings truffle fries to the mainstream in Singapore

Truffle fries are no longer the purview of restaurants in Singapore. McDonald's on Thursday (26 November) introduced the hipster dish of choice to customers island-wide.

Much like the popular seaweed shaker fries, McDonald's truffle fries come with a seasoning pack, so you still need to add the flavouring to the fries.

It might look good, but do McDonald's truffle fries hold up to restaurant quality? Well, some of us at Yahoo Singapore tried it, and many found it too salty and more "herby" than "truffle-y". But then you might want to go and decide for yourself.

The truffle fries can be bought alone or as part of a meal. Alone, the fries are available from S$3.25.
