Bro. Danny Navales receives Department of Health and Philippine Blood Center the highest recognition in the field of blood donation in the Philippines for MCGI or Members Church of God International.
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health and the Philippine Blood Center have given recognition to more than a hundred organizations in this year’s Dugong Bayani Awards, named after national heroes.
But only the Members Church of God International was given the Jose Rizal Award, the highest recognition in the field of blood donation in the Philippines.
This is because of MCGI’s effort to donate more than 5,000 blood units from January until November of this year.
MCGI has been receiving the Jose Rizal Award yearly, and this has been the 5th year since it first received the recognition in 2012 as it continues to support the blood donation activities of the DOH and the Philippine Blood Center.
MCGI’s representative Bro. Danny navales received the award.
(An award has been given again to the MCGI or the Members, Church of God International headed by Bro. Eli Soriano.
We will continue doing not only when there’s an award. We will do it continuously as it was what Kuya Daniel taught us. That doing good will never result into bad things.
We are thankful to God and to all our brothers and sisters who continue to support us in this activity. To God be the glory.)
DOH and PBC expressed gratitude to all their partners in blood donation drives.
The public is also urged to join in saving the lives of Filipinos in need of blood.
“We want these to be the culture of all Filipinos to become regular blood donors.”
“All of you are heroes, are awardees for this morning will really keep up this advocacy… so that we can have blood supply in this country,” Department of Health Secretary Paulyn Jean Ubial said.
