Melania Trump's $1,500 coat probably got wet in the rain

Apparently it is possible to look trendy while protecting yourself from the freezing cold and rain.

Donald, Melania, and Barron Trump arrived back at the White House late Monday night after spending the long weekend in Mar-a-Lago. For the trip, the first lady looked trendy in an Acne Studios color-block wool and cashmere-blend coat, despite the elements.

The black, light gray and beige overcoat is in the cocoon style that peaked in the 1960s mod era.

The knee-length number is cut in a double-breasted silhouette with notch lapels and features drop shoulders and is just baggy enough to wear a chunky sweater underneath, but not so big it looks like she’s drowning in wool. She wore it over a black turtleneck and tapered pants.

When she got on the plane, she wore the coat draped over she shoulders, in typical Melania fashion, probably because it was a bit warmer in Florida.

While we were busy ogling her coat, everyone else was laughing at the fact that the president boarded the plane in the rain with a huge umbrella that he didn’t share with his wife or son.

The worst part? This means her originally $1,500 coat got soaked.
