Two men were arrested for fighting at the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station platform on Sunday (2 September) night.

Police said they were alerted to a report of affray at 10pm and apprehended the men – aged 20 and 36 – at the station. Investigations into the case are ongoing, the police added.

A video of the incident has been making its rounds on social media. In it, the men can be seen facing off with one another in boxing stances on the station platform.

As they come to blows, two SMRT staff and several members of the public unsuccessfully attempt to intervene to break up the fight.

One of the men appears to have sustained a cut below his left eye prior to the start of the video and is later seen being pinned to the ground by his opponent. The duo eventually separate, with the injured man hurling vulgarities at the other as the latter walks away.
