The American businesswoman at the centre of misconduct and affair claims with Boris Johnson has boasted men fall in love with her “in about 10 minutes”.

Jennifer Arcuri, a tech entrepreneur, though has insisted her relationship with the Prime Minister was platonic and rumours of a fling were “bull****”.

In an interview with the Daily Mirror she also said that men “go insane around me”.

Miss Arcuri, who now lives in Los Angeles, received thousands of pounds in grants for her projects and went on a number of trade missions with Mr Johnson when he was Mayor of London.

It has been claimed she received grants of £126,000 of public money.

Arcuri, 34, was paid about £11,500 of that money while Johnson was London mayor.

The Sunday Times reported last month that Arcuri, an American who moved to London seven years ago, was also given privileged access to three foreign trade missions led by Boris Johnson while he was mayor.

The Government has since frozen a £100,000 grant to Miss Arcuri’s company, Hacker House, pending a review.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct is currently considering whether Mr Johnson committed the serious charge of misconduct in public office over his links to her.

But in a bullish interview, the former model denied any wrongdoing.

“Men just trip over themselves in front of me,” she said. “They fall in love with me in about 10 minutes… because I know what to say. I make men trip over their d***s.

“That's what happens. They go insane around me. They've been doing it for years. It's just what happens.”

She admitted that the PM had visited her Shoreditch home, which had a dancing pole, but said nothing was going on.

“If I was banging the dude and there was some kind of, like trail or sex tape, but there's nothing.

“There is a human side of my very complex relationship. This is not a Monica Lewinsky.”

Labour deputy leader Tom Watson has raised concerns over whether the company of an American businesswoman, who is reported to have received privileged access to three foreign trade missions while the Prime Minister was London mayor, is based in the UK.

Mr Watson has asked ministers whether they knew if her company, Hacker House, was based in the UK.
