VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ Merus Labs International Inc. (MSLI) on Tuesday reported a loss of $4.7 million in its fiscal first quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said it had a loss of 4 cents.

The drugmaker posted revenue of $19.5 million in the period.

The company's shares closed at 82 cents. A year ago, they were trading at $1.32.
