Mexico Rally cancels stages after accident

The third leg of this year's Mexican rally was cancelled after a car crash delayed competitors arriving at Leon

Rally of Mexico organisers cancelled Friday's first two special stages after a car crash delayed competitors arriving at Leon.

The convoy of cars taking part in the third leg of the world rally championship were held up by the accident on the 400km drive linking Mexico City to the service park in Leon.

The rally will restart with the fourth special scheduled for 2214 GMT.

Finland's Juho Hanninen is the surprise leader after Thursday evening's opening two specials in the Mexican capital.
