Michelin Guide to launch in Singapore

Singapore will be getting a Michelin guide

In 2016, Singapore will get its own Michelin Guide, according to The Straits Times.

The famous gastronomic guide is collaborating with the Singapore Tourism Board and Robert Parker Wine Advocate to produce a Singapore edition of the Michelin Guide for the second half of 2016. The guide will be the first of its kind in southeast Asia, and will be written in both Chinese and English.

In a press conference, Michelin announced that a group of international inspectors had already been to Singapore to test the city's eateries, and it was following their positive feedback that the decision was made to add Singaore to the Michelin ranks.

The Michelin guide is currently available in 25 countries worldwide.
