Michelle Obama and her famous biceps are back in the gym.

In a new Instagram photo posted for “Self-Care Sunday,” the 55-year-old former first lady hoists a large medicine ball over her head while baring her abs in a black sports bra and matching leggings.

According to the caption, the fitness-conscious mum of two is all about that “no pain, no gain” mentality.

“It doesn’t always feel good in the moment,” she said of her workout. “But after the fact, I’m always glad I hit the gym.”

Her followers were impressed, judging by the flood of bulging bicep emojis in the comments section.

“Come through queen,” read one comment.

“You put me to shame,” added an admirer, while one commenter added “Come on mama!”

“So proud of you Michelle,” another fan wrote. “I’m going to plank because of this post.”

Others hailed her as an “inspirational goddess” — though many also joked that unlike the former FLOTUS, they spent their ‘Self-Care Sunday” sleeping in.

In her memoir Becoming, Obama credited her regular workouts with helping her maintain a healthy work-life balance as a working mother.

She also spoke earlier this year about the need for women in particular to maintain their health and fitness regimes.

In conversation with Gayle King at the Essence Festival earlier this year, she said: “We [as women] have to own our health. It’s one of these things that no one can take from you.”

“A lot of mothers will understand this – I found myself looking around after I had my kids, and I didn’t have time for me… but my husband was at the gym, like, every day. And I was like, ‘Well, how are you going to the gym?’ He was like, ‘I make time for the gym.’ I was like, what?”
