Mifa scandal: Former footballer "Ah Chong" appears at MACC HQ

PUTRAJAYA: Former footballer Khairul Anuar Baharum, better known as “Ah Chong”, presented himself to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today to assist in a match-fixing investigation involving three Malaysian Indian Football Association (Mifa) players.

He arrived at MACC’s headquarters at 10.50am, accompanied by a man believed to be his lawyer.

On April 11, the MACC announced it was seeking Khairul Anuar to facilitate probes into three Mifa players who were arrested for alleged bribery.

The MACC said if Khairul Anuar fails to present himself, action will be taken against him in accordance with the law.
