10/08/19: Miley Cyrus And Liam Hemsworth Have Reportedly Separated, Weeks After She Says She's Still 'Very' Sexually Attracted To Women

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have reportedly broken up, after less than a year of marriage.

In an announcement made via a rep, to People magazine, the pair have explained that they're separating, six months after their wedding and after four years together. People have published a statement from Cyrus’s rep:

‘Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.’

This comes just a month after Miley Cyrus opened up about the fluidity of her sexual feelings.

Fresh off a legendary Glastonbury headline slot in July, and an equally stellar Black Mirror performance, she featured on the cover of ELLE US' latest issue. And in the interview the singer opened up about marriage, sexuality and her relationship with Liam Hemsworth.

Despite her 'hetero marriage', the 26-year-old says she is still 'very sexually attracted to women' and that people are often 'confused' by her 'complex and modern' marriage.

The singer married actor Hemsworth in December last year, 10 years after they first met and fell in love on the set of movie The Last Song.

'I think it’s very confusing to people that I’m married,' she explained. 'But my relationship is unique. And I don’t know that I would ever publicly allow people in there because it’s so complex, and modern, and new that I don’t think we’re in a place where people would get it. I mean, do people really think that I’m at home in a fucking apron cooking dinner?

She continued: 'I’m in a hetero relationship, but I still am very sexually attracted to women.

'People become vegetarian for health reasons, but bacon is still fucking good, and I know that. I made a partner decision. This is the person I feel has my back the most. I definitely don’t fit into a stereotypical wife role. I don’t even like that word.'

Miley also expressed her views about the rollback of women's rights in the US, and the role women seemingly have in the world.

'We’re expected to keep the planet populated...' she said.

'And when that isn’t a part of our plan or our purpose, there is so much judgment and anger that they try to make and change laws to force it upon you—even if you become pregnant in a violent situation.

'If you don’t want children, people feel sorry for you, like you’re a cold, heartless b**ch who’s not capable of love.

'Why are we trained that love means putting yourself second and those you love first? If you love yourself, then what? You come first.'
