Police investigating a fatal stabbing have charged a man with murder.

The victim, a 48-year-old man, was found in a building in Fen Street in Milton Keynes on Thursday, and died at the scene, Thames Valley Police said.

Jay Lupton, 24, of Fen Street, Milton Keynes, has been charged with murder.

He also faces two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker in police custody. He is due to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

The force has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), due to recent contact it had with the victim.

It appealed for any information or footage from the Brooklands Square or Fen Street area on Thursday.
