EN Fashion - Miranda Kerr believes that happiness is a choice.
The gorgeous Australian model is a regular on the runway for brands such as Victoria's Secret and fashion label David Jones, and is also a favourite for glossy magazines.
As well as a successful modelling career, Miranda is proud mom to three-year-old Flynn, her son with estranged husband Orlando Bloom. Although the couple split last year they remain dedicated to their son's upbringing, and Miranda reveals that it's her skill for finding the best in situations that keeps her happy.
"Life can get so busy for everyone, regardless of what your profession is but it's taking the time to have moments of gratitude that makes it meaningful. And it does take discipline, a consciousness to do that. Being grateful and happy is a choice, I think," Miranda told Lucky magazine.
To help her stay grounded, the 31-year-old beauty likes to practise Transcendental Meditation for 20 minutes, twice a day. This involves concentrating on her breathing and clearing her mind.
She's also a big fan of documentaries, and has recently been deepening her knowledge of meditating.
"This doctor at Essex University started doing Cognitive Bias Modification and meditation to try to be more optimistic. The researchers showed improvement in reducing unconscious negative biases," she explained.
As well as exercising her mind, Miranda is also a big fan of daily work outs. She has a whole range of quick-fix routines aimed at keeping her enviable figure in tiptop condition.
"I exercise every day, even if it's just ten minutes of squats or yoga or lunges or butt lifts. It really makes a difference," she smiled.
