MMDA implements light truck ban today

PHILIPPINES — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) began implementing today the light truck ban along Edsa

The MMDA personnel have positioned themselves early this morning on some parts of Edsa to issue violation tickets with a corresponding P2,000 fine to violators of the new traffic scheme.

As of 10 a.m., at least 118 light trucks have been apprehended by MMDA at the north bound lane of Edsa.

The light truck ban is effective from 6 a.m. up to 10a.m. and resumes at 5 p.m. up to 10 p.m. from Magallanes up to Edsa North Avenue. — UNTV News & Rescue
