Mobiado honors Vincent van Gogh with limited edition handset
Mobiado has launched the second limited edition phone in its new Dream Color series to mark the birthday of the painter Vincent van Gogh.
The ‘Professional 3 DC - Vincent van Gogh' is a hand painted neoteric interpretation of the artist's famous canvas "The Starry Night."
The handset is created from aircraft aluminum which has been anodized to produce a rock hard ceramic coating. The frame is then embellished by artists, before sapphire crystal plates are precision inset into the body.
Within the battery cover is a miniature reproduction of the post impressionist's work "The Starry Night" placed under a sapphire plate: a replica of the original artwork on the inside creating a perfect symmetry with the modern interpretation on the outside.
The handset is the second in the limited-edition Dream Color series of artistic mobiles from Mobiado. Last month the brand honored Dutch modernist Piet Mondrian with the launch of the ‘Professional 3 DC - Piet Mondrian' model.
