If there's one woman whose fashion sense you know you can trust, it's the stylist responsible for some of Hollywood's best wardrobes.
Kate Young – who looks after Julianne Moore, Rachel Weisz and Scarlett Johansson (to name just a few of her most high-profile clients) – has collaborated on a second jewellery collection with Monica Vinader, and it's one you're going to want to get your hands on.
Following her super successful first collection – which was worn by the likes of Jennifer Lawrence and Michelle Williams – the two have teamed up once again.
This collection – available now – features necklaces, rings, earrings and bracelets, all of which embrace sleek simplicity, bespoke cut gemstones and sculptural silhouettes.
Everything has been created for both everyday layering and cocktail styling in mind – and is inspired by Kate's personal style, who wanted to make every woman ooze confidence whenever she wears these designs.
"We wanted to expand on the last collection and make new pieces that would add to and work well with those first designs," Kate told us. "The stripes add a new dynamic and the tiger's eye adds an earthiness."
This collection, as with the last, embraces the concept of "beauty in simplicity" – jewellery designed to be layered and styled in different ways, for any occasion.
"We started off with this concept of creating a collection that demonstrated 'accessible glamour' – pieces that could be worn when dressed up but looked just as good with an everyday outfit," explains Monica.
"Celebrating big, bold gemstones was the common thread that continued throughout the design process, creating this feeling of precious and contemporary jewellery from the ages.
"Kate and I wanted a collection that included pieces that created a bold moment, through stacking bangles or chunky rings but also had styles that created this sense of timelessness, a fresh take on essential pieces."
"We wanted to create glamorous pieces that can be worn everyday."
Vintage jewellery also provided a strong sense of inspiration for them both. "We are very much aligned with what we like stylistically," the designer says of their love for turning vintage touches into modern pieces.
Meanwhile, Kate says of Monica: "She's such an inspiring woman – a super talented creative force with a strong ethical sensibility. I'm so proud to work with a brand that is super conscious of doing things the right way."
The collection features beautiful statement pieces, as well as more toned down styles that will make great day-to-day additions to your jewellery box.
