Dinnerware brand The Moon Jar has launched artistic South Korean ceramic collections in Singapore to jazz up your dining table with a modern yet vintage aesthetic.

Founded by Singapore-based, Korean-German couple Hwon Kang and Philipp Schulze three months ago, the brand ties up with various ceramists such as Kim Seok Binn for the Blue Line collection, which consists of delicate plates, cups, and cat-shaped chopstick holders in white with cobalt blue outlines.

There is also the Vintage collection of rustic-looking mugs by artist Hyun Sang Hwa that was on display at an exhibition at the Maison & Objet interior design trade fair in Paris for three years.

For the more minimalist homemaker, The Moon Jar also has a series of tableware by artist Yang Hye Rin that includes plates, cups, and noodle bowls in white, beige, and brown. Called the Onseo and Jeju collections, they were the result of collaborations with restaurants On and Jeju Noodle Bar in New York.

These designer dining wares perfect for those who love the cottage-life aesthetic are rather friendly to the wallet and something to consider as a gift this Christmas. A set of Blue Line’s “Two is a Crowd” breakfast set comprised of coffee cup, saucer, dish, small pan, and chopsticks holder is on promotion at S$173. Onseo plates are going at S$25 to S$30 apiece and a “Vintage Latte Mug” at S$55 each.
