Motorcyclist dies after accident involving prime mover at Jurong West Ave 2

A motorcyclist died after an accident involving a prime mover at Jurong West Ave 2 on Thursday (14 September).

The man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene, said the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF). After it was alerted to the incident at about 1:20pm, SCDF dispatched two fire engines, two ambulances and a support vehicle.

Another man, reported to be the pillion rider on the motorcycle, was extricated from under the prime mover using hydraulic rescue tools and sent to the National University Hospital.

The fatal accident caused traffic congestion on Thursday afternoon on the left lane of Jalan Boon Lay after Jurong West Central 1.
