KUALA LUMPUR: A motorcyclist was killed today after he rammed into a divider at the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (Akleh) and thrown off the flyover.

Ampang police chief Assistant Commissioner Hamzah Alias said the 27-year-old man was believed to have lost control of his machine before crashing into the divider.

The impact of the crash threw him off the flyover and onto Jalan Kerja Ayer Lama, located underneath the flyover in the 11am incident.

“The victim died at the scene. His body has been taken to Kuala Lumpur hospital for a post-mortem,” he said.

Hamzah urged motorists who witnessed the incident to contact the Ampang Jaya police station or any nearest stations to facilitate investigation into the case.
