Mourners Receive Casket of Ruth Bader Ginsburg at Supreme Court
The casket holding Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died on September 18, arrived at the Supreme Court in Washington on Wednesday morning, September 23, for public viewing.
This footage, shared by attorney Kate Kelly, shows a silent scene outside the Supreme Court as Ginsburg’s casket is carried up the steps past her former law clerks, dressed in black. The late justice was to lie in state for public viewing Wednesday and Thursday.
Ginsburg died on Friday at age 87 from complications due to metastatic pancreatic cancer, the Supreme Court said in a statement.
