Mr Porter, the men's style destination of fashion e-commerce giant Net-A-Porter, has launched a new shoppable Apple TV app, marking "a first in luxury content and commerce."

The Mr Porter app, available exclusively on Apple TV, has been specifically designed for tvOS, and enables customers to shop directly from five years' worth of video content from the site's weekly shoppable digital magazine, "The Journal."

According to Mr Porter, the content will be updated regularly with the latest short films and exclusive video from each issue, with highlight films ranging from insider-knowledge on "Tokyo's Best Kept Secret" to tutorials such as "How to Iron a Shirt."

The Apple TV app can be automatically downloaded when the Mr Porter iOS app is downloaded for iPhone or iPad.

Commenting on the release, YOOX Net-A-Porter CEO Federico Marchetti said: "As we aim to create innovative new omnichannel retail experiences by combining TV and e-commerce, we couldn't be prouder of the Mr Porter team: the vision of shopping luxury via Apple TV is now a reality."
