Telfar is collaborating with Gap
Telfar, the brand known for its #BushwickBirkin has announced a collaboration with Gap, set to drop later this year. Telfar Clemens and Telfar artistic director Babak Radboy have had a long awaiting goal of making Telfar accessible to everyone. "If you look at the first two seasons Telfar and I did together, it is Gap. The Gap customer was supposed to be everybody, literally anybody," Radboy tells Vogue. Clemens hopes to expand the sizing and color options of his brand with this collection. {Vogue}

Kat Von D has left her beauty brand
After 12 years, Kat Von D is saying goodbye to the beauty business, choosing to focus on her music career, son and upcoming international tour. She's leaving the makeup line she founded in partnership with Kendo, LVMH's beauty incubator, and selling her shares in the brand. It will be rebranded as KVD Vegan Beauty. {The Cut}

How Barneys employees are navigating its closure
Barneys New York was sold to Authentic Brands Group last year and is facing liquidation as its stores come to a close. But the company's employees reportedly have yet to receive word on when the Madison Avenue flagship will officially shut down and if they'll receive severance pay and benefits. {The New York Times}

Capsule collections are driving sales for brands
Retailers have begun to notice that more and more customers are jumping onto the capsule collection bandwagon and are willing to pay for the curation and convenience of pre-styled clothing. Misha Nonoo, M.M. LaFleur and Wardrobe.NYC have found success by selling sets in limited quantities. Though this strategy has great benefits, it's unlikely that it'll become mainstream with customers who are already loyal to other brands. {Vogue Business}

Jean Paul Gaultier's last fashion show
French designer Jean Paul Gaultier announced on Twitter that his next couture show, scheduled for Jan. 22, will be his last. "This show celebrating 50 years of my career will also be my last. But rest assured Haute Couture will continue with a new concept," tweeted Gaultier. It doesn't seem like the designer is going anywhere, but will no longer be showing his collections in lieu of a "new concept" that he has yet to reveal. {WWD}
