GEORGE TOWN: A 28-year-old Myanmar man was charged at the Magistrate’s Court here today with the murder of two men in a shop house at Jalan Argyll recently.
No plea was recorded from the accused, Sai Min, who was charged before Magistrate L. Umma Devi.
Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) Nurul Fatin Hussain prosecuted while the accused was unrepresented.
According to the charge sheet, the accused had allegedly murdered Sarbudeen Shikander, 72, and Senni Jalaludeen, 48, by stabbing them with a knife at the first floor of the shop house at Jalan Argyll here between 4.30pm and 5.30pm.
He was charged under Section 302 for murder, which carries the mandatory death sentence upon conviction.
He merely only nodded his head when the charge sheet was read out to him.
