Najib orders aide to lodge police report against him

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Najib Razak has told one of his aides to lodge a police report against him tomorrow.

The former prime minister said this was to allow “police under the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government” to investigate every allegation of murder made against him, including that of Mongolian model Altantuya Shaariibuu and deputy public prosecutor Datuk Anthony Kevin Morais.

He said the decision was made after DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang failed to get the authorities to investigate the allegations.

“(Lim) has been twisting and turning, trying to confuse his own supporters, claiming that I wrote (on Facebook) that he had once said there was no need for the cases to be investigated anymore. In actual fact, I have many times asked for the cases to be investigated, considering PH is now the government.

“All my statements challenging (Lim) are on my Facebook page. It isn’t difficult for you to check whether I had said (Lim) had declared that there was no need to reopen the murder investigations.

“For the fifth time, I urge (Lim) to do what he wanted last week, that is to say to begin a special investigation into all these cases, but I think I am just wasting my time,” he said in a Facebook posting tonight. © New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd
