Najib set to launch 4th Pan Borneo highway work package

SIPITANG: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has arrived at Sindumin town here to launch the fourth work package of the Pan Borneo highway.

Najib was accompanied by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman, Deputy Chief Minister cum State Infrastructure minister Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan, as well as Works minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

He had previously launched the work packages at Kg Andus, Papar, SMK Balung, Tawau, as well as Lahad Datu.

Sindumin, known as “Mengalong” in the 1960s, is uniquely situated on the Sabah-Sarawak border in the interior division of Sabah, as well as one of the towns within the Brunei Bay.

After the launch, the Prime Minister is scheduled to conduct a walkabout at a weekly market in Putatan, near the state capital.

Tonight, Najib will attend the wedding of Senallang state assemblyman Datuk Nasir Sakaran’s son at a hotel in Kota Kinabalu, before flying back to Kuala Lumpur.
