Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) zonal director Sameer Wankhede has filed a complaint with the state police and the central government that he is being stalked by unknown people. The development comes as Wankhede is probing the drug bust case on the Goa-bound cruise that led to the subsequent arrest of Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan.

As per sources, Wankhede has complained that someone has even been following him to the kabristan in western suburbs as he regularly visits that place to pray at his mother’s grave.

He raised these concerns in a meeting with Mumbai DGP and alleged that some people had been following him in the past few days in plain clothes.

He has CCTV footage corroborating this claim whilst alleging that he is being subjected to illegal surveillance.

Wankhede says that two unidentified individuals along with police officials from the Oshiwara Station have taken away the CCTV footage that had recorded his visits to the kabristan. He has hence expressed concerns over his safety and that of his family as well.

The NCB officer has been in news in recent times, most recently owing to his operation resulting in the arrest of Aryan Khan, a move that sent shockwaves down the entire Hindi film industry.
