SINGAPORE – The annual National Day Rally (NDR) speech is widely seen as the most important political speech of the year.

On Sunday evening (18 August), in three speeches – in Malay, Mandarin and English – Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong spoke on a range of topics including education (particularly on preschools and tertiary education), climate change, the economy and more.
