*Warning: Minor spoilers ahead*

Halloween costume-planning aside, there’s only one thing on our mind at the moment: Emily in Paris season three.

Netflix recently dropped the first teaser for the show’s highly anticipated third season, and it looks like all the drama of season 2—from love triangles to questionable outfit choices—can be expected once again, with a few additional surprises.

This past January, the streaming service officially renewed the popular series for a third and a fourth season, and we're dying to know what happens next. (*Especially* after that major cliffhanger.)

1. Is ‘Emily In Paris’ Returning for Season Three?

That’s correct. In January 2022, Netflix officially renewed Emily in Paris for seasons three and four. The news shouldn’t come as a huge surprise, especially since showrunner Darren Star previously discussed Emily’s future and confirmed that she isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

“She’s faced with a major decision. She has reasons to pick a number of doors at the end of season two, and our challenge is deciding which of those doors she’s going to choose and why,” he told TVLine. “That’s what season three is going to be about. When you live in a foreign country, one of the questions is, ‘Where’s your heart?’ Is it the place you came from, or the place you are at the moment? Emily is going to be struggling with that, as well.”

The show is set to return on December 21, 2022.

2. What Is ‘Emily In Paris’ About?

Season one of Emily in Paris documented the titular character's first year in France, while the second installment focused on the love triangle that developed between Emily, her downstairs neighbor Gabriel and his girlfriend, Camille. (Plus, there was the addition of Emily’s new romantic fling, Alfie.)

Although Netflix hasn’t revealed many details about season three, many expect it to pick up right where the story left off, shortly after the French employees quit Savoir to start their own marketing firm and asked Emily to join them. The season two finale ended on a cliffhanger, right before Emily made her decision. But since the show is called Emily in Paris, there’s no way she’d actually return to Chicago after creating a life and career in France…right?

3. Who Stars In ‘Emily In Paris’?

The charming cast includes Lily Collins (Emily), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Camille Razat (Camille), Ashley Park (Mindy), William Abadie (Antoine), Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie), Samuel Arnold (Julian), Bruno Gouery (Luc) and Kate Walsh (Madeline). Oh, and how could we forget about newcomer Lucien Laviscount (Alfie)?

Back in April, Laviscount was upgraded to a series regular for season three, which means we can expect much more of him (and a lot more romantic tension) in the coming episodes.

4. What Can Fans Expect from Season 3 of ‘Emily in Paris’?

While details of season three have been kept under wraps, Walsh offered a few teasers during an exclusive interview with PureWow. “People won’t be disappointed,” she teased. “I can tell you it’s really good and juicy and funny and unexpected.”

Walsh added, “So, I think that fans will be really delighted and wildly entertained by what they see. And the stories this year are even more fabulous, more romantic and glamorous and funny in incredible locations.”

5. Is There a First Look at ‘Emily in Paris’ Season 3?

Netflix offered fans a first look at the coming installment with a new set of photos posted to Instagram.

The show's star, Collins, shared a few them to her personal account, writing, “First look at @emilyinparis Saison Trois!! Get ready for new looks, new locations, new love triangles… Merci France for being a home away from home and embracing us yet again. So proud of this cast and crew and cannot WAIT for you all to see what our girl Emily gets up to! Get ready for another wild ride…”

6. Is There a Trailer for ‘Emily in Paris’ Season 3?

As a part of Netflix's Tudum fan event, the streaming service offered fans a teaser for the third season, which shows Emily struggling with some hard choices.

“This is the hardest decision I have ever had to make,” our titular character says in the clip. “This is just something that I have to do.” Is she referring to her job at Savoir? Does she mean her love triangle? It seems we'll have to wait to find out.

However, in the teaser, we do see that Emily decides to cut her own bangs. “They're just bangs!” she says to Gabriel when he asks if she's okay. “Sometimes people cut bangs when everything's fine!”

The jury's still out on that one. Emily in Paris returns to Netflix on December 21.
