KOTA KINABALU: A picture of woman walking in only a bikini bottom and long sleeved T-shirt near the Asia City complex, has sent netizens, especially in Sabah, abuzz.
Many were sharing the photograph on their WhatsApp, with some commenting whether the current hot spell in the state had prompted her to put on the attire.
Temperatures in Sabah's west coast these days have reached up to 38 degree Celcius, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department.
The photograph of the woman, believed to be a foreign tourist, went viral since early this week. She was seen walking with a man, possibly a tourist as well.
To date, no indecent attire-related report has been made against the woman.
However, some netizens have reasoned that she might have just returned from a trip to nearby islands.
In the past, Western tourists have also been seen wearing such attire around the Jesselton Point jetty, when returning from the islands.
Meanwhile, Malaysian Meteorological Department recorded average temperature in Sabah to be between 33 to 38 degrees Celcius, with no rain fall in the past two weeks.
It said the wet spell would return for a day or two some time this week. © New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd
