With fall just around the corner, it's smart to start preparing your skin for the upcoming weather changes. Dryness and low humidity in the air during cooler seasons can cause skin dehydration, but interestingly enough, dehydration can occur during any season.
Sheet masks are the holy grail of smooth and hydrated skin, and an item that I use plenty of. My favourite mask to use is Neutrogena's Hydro Boost Hydrating Sheet Mask — since it works throughout all seasons, and rings in at just $4.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Sheet Mask
SHOP IT: Amazon, $4
It's a translucent hydrogel mask that contains hyaluronic acid, so when skin gets dry or dehydrated in the summer due to air conditioning or cold weather in winter, it really helps hydrate and plump the skin.
As its name suggests, the mask has a gel-like texture which provides a cooling and soothing effect on the skin. The mask is gentle, non-comedogenic, and great for all skin types, including sensitive skin which I happen to have.
When I first saw the price and highly-rated reviews last year, I knew I had to test it out myself and I'm so glad I did. I leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and my skin feels so soft, supple and radiant.
What are reviewers saying?
Backed by a solid 4.5-star rating from more than 300 Amazon reviews, this affordable sheet mask is well worth adding to your skincare routine.
One reviewer raved about this mask's "cooling feeling" which helped with "dry or irritated skin" from the hot summer weather. They called the mask "super hydrating and very relaxing."
Shoppers agree that it works in all seasons, winter or summer.
One reviewer called the mask "fun to use" and shared that it left their skin feeling "ultra moisturized." They even went on to call it a "winter staple."
Despite the many rave reviews, some shoppers called the mask "messy to apply," especially since the gel texture can cause the mask to slide around your face.
