New food court focusing on Japanese cuisine coming to Changi Airport

New Japanese food court called Japan Gourmet Hall Sora is set to open on the third level of Singapore’s Changi Airport Terminal 2.

According to Changi Airport Group (CAG) on Thursday (17 August), the 300-seater dining venue will cover 721 square metres of space, taking over former tenants Seafood Paradise and Fish & Co..

“Changi Airport Group is always on the lookout for innovative retail and dining concepts that will meet the needs of our passengers and attract locals to come to the airport to shop and dine… This is the first time that CAG has awarded a lease for two amalgamated units, making it the largest restaurant space within Changi Airport,” said CAG in an email to Yahoo Lifestyle Singapore. Japan Gourmet Hall Sora is a joint venture between SG Retail Pte Ltd and ANA Trading and Komars Group.

According to a media report by Nikkei Asian Review, Japan Gourmet Hall Sora will open as soon as November this year.

The report also mentioned the venue will feature six eateries under franchise contracts with Japanese restaurants and will offer dishes such as fresh seafood bowls and okonomiyaki pancakes.

Diners will be able to order from multiple restaurants and pay for everything at once.

ANA Trading and Komars Group are also behind the multi-concept dining enclave, Eat At Seven, at Suntec City.
