New mom Kate Upton praised for sharing 'relatable' selfie of her using a breast pump before her Valentine's Day date

Before heading out for her Valentine’s Day dinner for two with husband Justin Verlander, new mama Kate Upton got to work on a little Valentine’s Day for one: her 3-month-old daughter, Genevieve.

The model has been praised for sharing a “relatable” selfie that shows her using a breast pump ahead of her date with her baseball star husband.

Thanks to Upton’s chic outfit, the photo recalls Rachel McAdams’s recent fashion shoot, in which the actress and fellow new mom pumped breast milk while wearing designer clothes. McAdams’s shoot, however, sparked criticism that it presented an unrealistically glamorous image of mom life.

Upton, on the other hand, is getting nothing but rave reviews, with fans thanking her for helping to “normalize” breastfeeding.
