Lucasfilm has released a new trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi, the upcoming six-part Disney+ series, as part of its Star Wars Day celebrations.
Shared on May the Fourth, the new trailer shows Ewan McGregor as the Jedi Knight in exile on Tatooine, Joel Edgerton as Owen Lars, and glimpses of Hayden Christensen returning as Darth Vader.
Christensen played Anakin Skywalker in Attack of the Clones and then portrayed his turn to the dark side in 2005's Revenge of the Sith.
Watch it below.
The story begins 10 years after the of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
The show will use the same technology as The Mandalorian, the StageCraft tech, in which the show's detailed SFX backgrounds are projected onto ultra-high resolution screens behind the actors.
The highly anticipated limited series will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on Friday, 27 May, with the first two episodes.
Following the premiere, the series will stream weekly on Wednesdays, until the finale on Wednesday, 22 June.
All six episodes have been directed by Deborah Chow.
