New year, new me, new resolutions! Just as we enter the new year – with the pandemic clouding an uncertain future – Yahoo Life SEA looks at how nine regional celebrities welcome 2022.
1. Kim Chiu
Filipina actress Kim Chiu ushered the new year in with a fantastic home party along with some lights and sparkles. Welcoming 2022 with a bang, the model surrounded herself with her loved ones and wished for "more joy, more live and more blessings for all of us."
2. Fasha Sandha
Malaysian actress Fasha Sandha looked back on her relationship with her husband Aidil Aziz with her new year post. Sharing five locations over five years where they spent the New Year countdown together, she captioned the photos as 'Our Memories.' Aww...
3. Fann Wong
Singapore actress Fann Wong shared a series of family photos with husband Christopher Lee and son Zed Lee on Instagram to celebrate the new year with her fans. "HELLO, 2022. Wishing everyone an amazing year ahead," she captioned and added, "May your wildest dreams manifest in 2022."
4. Romeo Tan
Welcoming 2022 with a new haircut and colour, Singapore actor Romeo Tan asked his fans, "Will my 2022 be as Huat (prosperous) as my hair colour?" Spotting a stylish, clean-cut, Tan shared that "2021 has been a challenging year, but it is also a year I appreciate everything I have," and wishing everyone a "Happy new year and may all of you be in the pink of health!"
5. Marion Caunter
Malaysian personality Marion Caunter shared a photo with husband SM Nasarudin and their three children on her Instagram, "First family day out in 2022," she wrote. The style icon had also shared a 2021 recap video earlier in the week, noting that 2021 had "truly taught us to be grateful for the little things" and that she "will never take the little things for granted ever again. Happy New Year, everyone."
6. Anne Curtis
Filipina-Australian actress Anne Curtis shared an adorable photo with husband Erwan Heussaff and their daughter Dahlia Amélie, wishing everyone a "Happy New Year from The Heussaff's. Sending love, light and loads of giggles to all of you!"
7. Elvin Ng
Elvin Ng decided upon a thirst trap to usher in 2022 for his fans. "No time for resolutions, let's just get on with it already!" the Singapore actor wrote, along with a topless photo of him being showered with water. "Have a splashin' good time in 2022; happy new year, everybody!!!"
8. Yiu Lin
Malaysian entrepreneur Yiu Lin shared a free diving video to give an insight into how she and her family celebrated the new year. She had also shared a photo of her family of five, captioning "Happy New Year from our family to yours!"
9. Joanna Dong
Sharing her first meal of 2022, Singapore singer Joanna Dong reminded fans to tune into her performance at the AMM Music Fest later in the day, along with a reminder for her Lunar New Year concert on 21 and 22 Jan. "Exciting and busy start to the new year, surrounded by good friends, good food, and good music," the singer captioned.
