New Delhi, October 01 (ANI): A passing out parade was organised by Delhi Police at Police Training College, Jharoda Kalan in Delhi to mark the entry of 381 sub-inspectors which includes 151 Females Sub Inspectors. Rakesh Asthana, Commissioner, Delhi Police, took salute and reviewed the Passing out Parade. Police Commissioner Asthana stated that the newly inducted Sub-Inspectors will be vital in strengthening evidence-based policing at a time when Delhi Police has gone ahead with separation of Law and Order and Investigation functions to further strengthen investigation. The SIs also plays a very important part in the Beat policing set-up in establishing a public-policy interface. He urged the Sub-Inspector pass outs to be sensitive and compassionate towards the public at large, especially weaker sections, senior citizens, women and children and always keep people’s interest on top while performing their duties. Police Chief emphasised that Investigation Officers have to keep themselves updated and plan strategies and use the laws effectively as per the latest crime trends and patterns.
