After months of anticipation, Alexa Chung and Tan France’s new fashion series has launched on Netflix.

Next in Fashion is a competitive programme that sees 18 acclaimed designers from around the world competing against one another to be the next big name in fashion.

Each episode in the 10-part series sees the contestants undertake various design challenges revolving on a particular trend or style that has come to define the way we dress today.

But this is no run-of-the-mill competition. Judges on the series include some of the industry’s most illustrious figures, such as Instagram's director of fashion partnerships, Eva Chen, designer Christopher Kane and model Adriana Lima.

Meanwhile, the grand prize also includes $250,000 (£192,371) and the chance to debut their first collection on Net-a-Porter.

The contestants are no less ordinary, either, with each of them already having achieved a great deal in their careers, such as founding their own labels and dressing celebrities like Rita Ora and Beyoncé.

Many of them have also already worked with luxury fashion houses, including Stella McCartney and Alexander Wang.

From the British designer who started an inclusive ready-to-wear label to the Los Angeles-based talent who has already worked with Fergie, see who is competing in Next in Fashion by clicking through the gallery above.

You can watch Next in Fashion on Netflix now.
