BULACAN, Philippines — The National Housing Authority (NHA) has begun the verification and profiling of Kadamay members in Pandi, Bulacan.

After verifying the exact number of occupants in each housing unit, the National Housing Authority will proceed with the profiling of the members of Kalipunan ng Damayang Mahihirap (Kadamay).

The group has been occupying the government housing units in Pandi, Bulacan since last week.

NHA Bulacan division manager, Engr. Ramon Pargas explained that through profiling, each member is assessed on whether or not he or she is a bona fide member of Kadamay and if it is true that they have nowhere else to live and have not enrolled in any housing program of the National Housing Authority.

On Monday, NHA postponed the implementation of the eviction notice among members of Kadamay. Instead the agency agreed to let the group undergo the process of housing application.

Based on the agreement, NHA will amend the payment terms and requirements in accordance to what each member of the group can afford.

NHA has given the AFP and the PNP 30 days to submit to the agency the list of beneficiaries of the housing units in Pandi, Bulacan.

Meanwhile, Malacañang calls on Kadamay members to remain calm and adhere to the process.

“The NHA has exhibited patience and we hope that the Kadamay will be faithful to their contract.  So let us try to avoid the use of force,” said Presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella. – Robie de Guzman | UNTV News & Rescue
