KUALA LUMPUR, April 10 — PAS youth chief Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz said today his family will sue Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) if it had smeared the name of his late father and former spiritual leader Datuk Seri Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat through a seminar the party held yesterday.

The Pasir Mas MP said his legal team was currently scrutinising all documents and speeches from the Amanah’s event.

“If there were any accusations or statements that could smear the name of ATGNA, we will not hesitate to seek legal action to protect his good name,” Nik Abduh wrote on his Facebook page, using the abbreviation of Nik Aziz’s name.

Amanah had yesterday held a seminar titled “Seminar Pemikiran Tuan Guru Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat” at the Selangor-Kuala Lumpur Chinese Assembly Hall here.

The seminar was supposedly held to remember the good leadership of Nik Aziz.

Several members broke out of PAS after the demise of Nik Aziz to form Amanah after accusing the former of deviating from the party’s agenda.
