These Are The Nine Countries With Nuclear Weapons

Nine countries in the world have access to nuclear weapons, with a combined total of roughly 16,000 warheads, according to the Arms Control Association.

Of these nine nations, America and Russia control 93% of the total arsenal of nuclear weapons.

Four of the countries hold their weapons illegally - India, Pakistan, Israel and North Korea.

North Korea carried out its first nuclear test in 2006, and has since threatened nuclear action against Washington and Seoul, and has broken international law with its testing of powerful nuclear weapons.
