NMCG organises virtual `World Water Week 2021' amid Covid-19

New Delhi (ANI) August 26, 2021: The National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) organised ‘World Water Week 2021’ powered by Stockholm International Water Institute. This ‘World Water Week’ which started on August 23 is the leading annual global event addressing the planet's major water issues. This year’s event was based on the theme ‘Building Resilience Faster’. The event was held virtually where experts from all corners of the globe discussed a broad array of water-related topics ranging from food security and health to agriculture, technology, biodiversity, and the climate crisis. This new digital format for World Water Week 2021 is making the event broader and more comprehensive, allowing people across the world to join, regardless of ongoing pandemic. The NMCG has been working relentlessly for abatement of pollution and rejuvenation of the river Ganga. The holy river has significant economic, environmental and cultural value in India.
