There is still no MRT train service between Joo Koon and Gul Circle stations, SMRT tweeted early Monday morning (20 November), even as trains between Gul Circle and Tuas Link have resumed. The rail operator said there would be no train service between Joo Koon and Gul Circle as its “engineers conduct further checks on the signalling system” for a month.

SMRT said free shuttle buses are available between Joo Koon and Gul Circle – one station apart – for commuters to continue their journeys.
A collision between two trains at Joo Koon Station last Wednesday (15 November) had disrupted service between Joo Koon and Tuas Link stations. The incident, which was caused by a software glitch, resulted in 38 people being injured.
