Notorious extortionist arrested by Delhi Police
New Delhi, September 25 (ANI): Notorious extortionist and desperate robber Mohd Monish aka Ustaad arrested has been arrested by Crime Branch of Delhi Police for involvement in Rs. 3 crore extortion case in Delhi. One complainant, a chartered accountant reported to the police that he is presently in the business of online selling of ayurvedic medicines. Since December 2020, he had been receiving extortion calls including international numbers and messages on his number from a person calling himself Navin Bali of Naveen Bawania Gang from Tihar Jail. The caller was demanding Rs. 3 crore as protection money. He got scared paid Rs. 9.40 lakh to the criminal. Unable to pay the remaining amount he approached the police and a case was registered on his complaint and investigation was taken up. During the investigation, police team received information about Mohd Monish. On this information, a trap was laid and Mohd. Monish was apprehended from Uttam Nagar, Delhi. During interrogation, Mohd Monish disclosed that he is a registered bad character of PS. Ranhola and has 13 criminal cases registered against him. His involvements include armed robbery, snatching, arson and extortion.
