HOUSTON (AP) _ Now Inc. (DNOW) on Wednesday reported a loss of $71 million in its fourth quarter.
The Houston-based company said it had a loss of 66 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 29 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 36 cents per share.
The energy and industrial distribution company posted revenue of $538 million in the period, missing Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $538.4 million.
For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $234 million, or $2.18 per share. Revenue was reported as $2.11 billion.
Now shares have increased 11 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 71 percent in the last 12 months.
