SINGAPORE — The Singapore Armed Forces’ (SAF) fitness conditioning centres (FCCs) will resume operations on Sunday (1 March), after its services were suspended since 13 February due to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak.

The Ministry of Defence (Mindef) said in a post on its Facebook page on Friday that NS men can now book their Individual Physical Proficiency Test (IPPT), IPPT Preparatory Training (IPT) and Remedial Training at the FCCs, as well as the Safra gyms and IPT-in-the-Park locations.

There will be enhanced precautionary health measures implemented at the locations, such as more cleaning and disinfection of common areas and equipment, as well as smaller participant group sizes.

These measures are on top of those already put in place for all visitors to SAF Camps, Safra gyms and IPT-in-the-Park locations.

NS men who have been to mainland China, the city of Daegu and/or the county of Cheongdo in South Korea in the preceding 14 days of their IPPT/IPT/RT will have to reschedule their sessions to later date.

They are advised to refer to the Ministry of Health website for the latest travel advisory before making their bookings. For further IPPT/IPT/RT-related queries, call the 24-hour NS Hotline at 1800-3676767 or email contact@ns.sg for assistance.
