LA UNION, Philippines — Passenger Accident Management and Insurance Agency Incorporated (PAMI), the insurance provider of Leomark Bus, will start distributing on Saturday the first tranche of financial assistance to victims of the Nueva Ecija bus tragedy. Victims of the accident may receive up to P200,000 only.
PAMI said it will begin distributing the financial aid on April 22, Saturday, 2:00 p.m. at the LTFRB field office in Bayombong, Nueva Viscaya.
“As term of PAMI, as PAMI, our company decided to give full settlement already to the family of the death victims… The maximum coverage of our insurance policy is P200,000, now for the injuries there is medical reimbursement for the use of hospitalization,” PAMI operations manager, Bong Nocum said.
Claimants will only need to present a birth certificate and identification if single, and a marriage contract and identification if married.
“In this case, we will give the claimant the full amount. What we need is the proof that they are indeed the immediate beneficiary,” Nocum added.
The insurance company provided the numbers and there is a contact person if a claimant has inquiries on the process of claiming. On April 25, the second batch of aid will be distributed. — Toto Fabros | UNTV News & Rescue
