Blacklist International Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) duo Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna and Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario may have announced that they’re skipping MPL Season 9, but they have their eyes set on a new goal: a spot in the Philippine national MLBB team for the 2022 SEA Games.

In a stream on Sunday (9 January), OhMyV33nus said the V33Wise tandem won’t entirely disappear from the MLBB scene, and will instead join the rest of Blacklist International in trying to earn a spot in Sibol, the name of the Philippines' national esports team.

Blacklist International's roster for the Sibol qualifiers will now include OhMyV33nus, Wise, and MPL PH S8 MVP Salic “Hadji” Imam.

The team are still considering two more unnamed players, since both M3 MVP Kiel “Oheb” Soriano and Blacklist’s exp laner Edward “EDWARD” Dapadap will miss this opportunity due to age restrictions set by Vietnam, the host country for this year’s SEA Games.

“Starting tomorrow until the Sibol qualifiers, magiging busy kami uli ni Wise then hopefully makuha natin yung slot sa Sibol kasi I really, really want the Sibol,” (Starting tomorrow until the Sibol qualifiers, Wise and I will be very busy to hopefully get that Sibol spot. I really want the Sibol) the player said in the stream.

In the next few months, this team will be working on their strategy and chemistry.

The team may continue to keep their signature U.B.E., or ultimate bonding experience, strategy or incorporate new playstyles, depending on the team members joining OhmyV33nus, Wise, and Hadji.

OhmyV33nus tried to be part of the Sibol roster to represent the country for MLBB in the 2019 SEA Games.

However, the player said in their stream that they didn’t have enough experience and confidence back then, and thus did not make the cut.

The 2019 MLBB Sibol team, represented by the Bren Esports' roster at the M2 World Championship, took the gold medal for the Mobile Legends competition.

OhmyV33nus thought this was the perfect opportunity to try again for the qualifiers, having bagged two MPL PH titles and the M3 World Championship.

The V33Wise duo want to represent the country in the SEA Games even as they take a break from pro play and skip MPL PH Season 9.
